El Faro - Almeria - Spain
Let us introduce you to a gently developing area of southern Spain, boasting 17 kilometers of sandy beach, dramatic coastal and mountain scenery, and historic towns.
Its mild climate make it an all year destination with the average winter temperature being 16C. Spring and Autimn are a good time to enjoy warm sunshine without roasting! Last year we were out in February and the temperature was 20-21C for most of the week.
The area provides for a wide variety of interests:
Golf lovers - there are some spectacular golf courses within a short drive.
Walkers - there are dramatic coastal and mountain walks, do your own thing or go on an organised ramble.
Ornithologists - a rich variety of species can be seen including Flamingos on the salt flats.
Divers - there are many scuba diving school and an opportunity to dive in unique coastal conservation waters which stretch five miles out to sea.
Historians - The area in steeped in history and Moorish architecture. Granada and the “must see” Alhambra Palace are a two and a half hour drive but worth every bit of the effort. Pre-booking recommended - click here
